Sailing Gulet Kaptan Yarkin

Built in 1997, the 23.5-metre wooden gulet Kaptan Yarkin operates out of Bodrum Marina. Decades of consistent upkeep show in the solid deck planking and the well-kept cabin interiors, giving the yacht the kind of warmth and density that only properly maintained aged timber carries, a quality fibreglass hulls simply don't replicate. For travellers specifically looking for a classic wooden gulet charter from Bodrum, that character makes a real difference.

Kaptan Yarkin is chartered exclusively as a whole boat. All six cabins, the full twelve-guest capacity and every shared space on board, the aft deck, the saloon and the dining area included, belong to one group for the entire trip. A crew handles navigation and catering, leaving guests free to spend their time on the water and with each other rather than on logistics. This setup suits multi-generational families, close groups of friends and private celebrations where having the boat to yourselves matters.

Route planning is flexible and shaped around what the group wants. Those after a relaxed pace can drift between the sheltered bays and hidden coves along the Bodrum peninsula with no fixed schedule. Groups wanting more distance can plan a blue cruise toward the Gökova Gulf, the Datça peninsula or the Hisarönü coast. At 23.5 metres, the gulet handles both open-water passages and quiet bay days comfortably.

The aft deck comfortably holds all twelve guests and opens directly onto the water, making it the natural centre of life on board. Below deck, six well-separated cabins each offer genuine privacy, a feature that matters more the longer the voyage runs. That balance between open shared living above and real seclusion below is one of the qualities that sets Kaptan Yarkin apart for a full-group Bodrum yacht charter.
