Gemile

Gemile is a 14.6-metre sailing yacht built in 2024, operating out of Lykia Yacht Club on the Lycian coast. With five private cabins and berths for up to ten guests, the yacht is chartered exclusively as a whole boat: one group books it for the full duration of the voyage, with no other passengers sharing the trip.

Being a 2024 build carries real, practical weight. Every navigation instrument, electrical system, deck fitting and safety component meets current manufacturing standards from the outset, with no wear carried over from previous seasons and no guesswork about the condition of onboard systems. On a multi-day blue cruise, mechanical reliability matters, and Gemile's clean baseline removes a variable that older charter yachts can't always guarantee.

What sets a sailing yacht apart from a gulet or motor vessel becomes obvious the moment the engine cuts and the sails take over: the vibration of diesel gives way to a quieter, steadier motion through the water. From Lykia Yacht Club, you can plan single-day sails to sheltered bays along the Lycian coast, or put together a multi-day itinerary shaped around your own group's pace rather than a fixed schedule. That freedom is one of the real advantages of chartering a private sailing yacht.

Gemile suits families who want full say over each day's plan, as well as groups of friends looking for genuine independence at sea. The five-cabin layout gives every guest their own private space, while the deck and cockpit serve as the natural gathering point between sails. At 14.6 metres, the yacht is compact enough to feel easy to manage, and its 2024 build means there's nothing about its condition that needs qualifying. For anyone comparing Lycian coast yacht charter or sailing yacht charter options, Gemile is a newer and well-specified choice.
