Lauda

Lauda is a 12.4 metre sailing yacht that entered service in 2023 and operates out of Lykia Yacht Club on the Lycian coast. Its recent build year means the rigging and deck systems have only a handful of seasons behind them, a real advantage on a coastline where the wind can shift quickly. Sailing a young, well kept hull brings a sense of confidence that older equipment, however carefully maintained, simply cannot match.

With three cabins sleeping up to six guests, Lauda suits two or three couples, a close group of friends or a family that appreciates having its own private space at the end of an active day on the water. For the duration of the charter the yacht is reserved for a single group only. The cockpit, saloon and deck are yours alone, so the pace of the day, the choice of anchorage and the shape of the route are entirely up to you.

From Lykia Yacht Club, a day trip into the sheltered coves along the Lycian shore is straightforward to arrange: anchor in clear water, spend the afternoon swimming and head back before dusk. Groups with more time available can choose a multi day blue cruise along the Lycian coast, adjusting the heading each day according to wind, weather and personal preference. Ancient Lycian ruins visible from the water add a layer of history to the passage that a road trip could never offer.

Lauda's character comes through once the engine is switched off and the sails take over. Conversation settles into its own rhythm in the cockpit, meals unfold at an easy pace in the saloon and the deck becomes a shared open air living space throughout the day. Among sailing yacht charter options on the Lycian coast, Lauda's 2023 launch makes it one of the newest hulls currently on offer.
