DESPINA

DESPINA is a 2023-build Bali 4.6 catamaran by the Catana Group, based at Göcek Mucev Marina on Turkey's Turquoise Coast. With a hull length of 14.28 metres and a beam of 7.6 metres, she offers the stable, wide-bridgedeck platform that makes a modern catamaran genuinely different from a monohull: pronounced roll is virtually absent, interior living space is generous, and the twin cockpit layout works equally well at anchor or underway.

The accommodation is arranged across five double cabins plus one additional cabin, served by four en-suite heads and a fifth separate head, bringing total berth capacity to twelve guests. Air conditioning runs throughout the interior, and the galley is fitted with a gas cooker and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and a separate freezer, covering every practical need for a week-long cruise without a marina stop. An 860-litre fresh water tank paired with an on-board watermaker means the crew can keep water flowing even in remote anchorages far from a marina fill point.

Power is supplied by twin Yanmar 57 HP engines and backed by an 11 KW ONAN generator, an inverter and six 95 Ah AGM service batteries, giving DESPINA a genuinely self-sufficient electrical system. Navigation is handled by dual AXIOM chartplotters at seven and twelve inches, an AIS-equipped VHF system, autopilot, multi-function instrument display and wind instruments. Safety equipment meets full offshore standards, including a ten-person liferaft, distress flares, fire extinguishers and a first aid kit.

From Göcek Mucev Marina, guests can plan a route through the sheltered bays of Fethiye Gulf, south towards the open waters off Ölüdeniz, or extend the blue cruise toward Marmaris and beyond. The dinghy with outboard engine opens up shallower coves that DESPINA herself cannot reach, and the swim ladder, outside shower and cockpit cushions complete an easy, sea-level lifestyle at anchor.
